    ​The best part of publishing my book has been engaging with young children who are eager to learn about lighthouse history, the Coast Guard lightkeepers, dogs, Lake Superior, witing books, and the Great Lakes system!  An interactive reading of Rocky’s Lighthouse Adventure provides all of that and gives the kids an opportunity to tell their own stories, to imagine what if, and to create their own tales of adventure!  

    The sessions with young readers typically last around an hour and are tailored to the specific audience. I've read to Daisy Scouts where I connected Rocky's adventure to their Girl Scout Promise. Teachers can use Rocky's colorful historic tale as a jumping off place for simple research projects. I've read to Sunday School classes where Rocky's tale is integrated with lessons. Birthday parties are a great idea; children can walk away with coloring pages from the book; we can build a lighthouse as an activity. The opportunities are endless to engage young readers, and I can tailor my presentation to your group's need! Let the fun...and the learning...begin!
